The Bar with Wine: an institution with living

The history of the Bar with Wine is that of a family passion. In 1984, Pierre Pécoul takes, with Gustou Rieutort, the succession of an Irish pub to create a true bar in the middle of Defense.

He transmits to Philippe Cordesse, his nephew, the taste of user-friendliness, the good kitchen and his love of the wines of soil.

It is thus naturally that Philippe Cordesse succeeded his uncle with the death of the latter, at the end of 1996.

Memories, memories

I remember that I was going with my grandparents in Béziers to seek wine to deliver the barrels on the plates of Aubrac, Philippe remembers.

At fifteen years, he dreamed some. At twenty-nine years, it did it, by taking again the Bar with Wine.

Thus, for ten years, Philippe and his Guylaine wife, have devoted themselves completely to their Bar. He left a company of reproduction assembled carefully Jean-Pierre brother. It left the agency where it organized voyages. Their two daughters, Geostrophic, twelve years, and Daphne, nine years, grew within this framework.

For them, the Bar, it is their passion, most of their life and, especially, an adventure with the daily newspaper, a permanent questioning.

For Philippe, the Bar is a place with share, a single framework of greenery, a magic place which makes forget with the workers of the turns their concern, to slacken in a convivial, cordial and authentic environment.

Today, nearly 90% of the customers consists of accustomed. The Bar with Wine, it is the Bar for some, B.A.V for others, or BAV, and it is a true institution.
